Marcus Farr
Directors of Bands and Orchestras
Marcus Farr currently serves as the Director of Bands and Orchestras at Snider High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The Snider music program includes three concert bands, two orchestras, three jazz ensembles, and the Mighty Panther Marching Band.
A proud graduate of North Side High School and Purdue University Fort Wayne, Mr. Farr was a member of North Side’s Concert Band, Wildsiders Jazz Band, and Marching Band, where he also held the position of drum major. At Purdue Fort Wayne, he was an active member of numerous ensembles, including the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, and various chamber groups.
From 1996 to 2025, Mr. Farr was a music and marching band instructor at North Side High School, stepping into the role of Assistant Director in 2010. He also served as Pep Band Director at Indiana Tech (2006–2013) and at Purdue Fort Wayne (2009–2025).
In addition to his work in education, Mr. Farr is a performing musician in the Fort Wayne area. He is a current member of the New Millennium Jazz Orchestra and serves as bandleader for the Three Rivers Big Band.
